Media is becoming increasingly digitised, with newspapers, magazines and art all being developed and shared via various technologies. Ada wants to put you at the heart of this creative transformation through the Digital Media BTEC.
The Digital Media course will equip you with the knowledge and experiences necessary to be 21st Century creative. You will learn to produce online magazines, develop your image manipulation skills and work on graphic design projects. This will give you a well-rounded digital toolkit, ready for use in your creative industry of choice.
To begin this course students must have achieved at least 5 GCSE qualifications at grades 4-9 from the following list: Maths, Computer Science, IT, English Language, English Literature, Media Studies, Business, Psychology.
Other qualifications will be considered and Ada does make a limited number of contextual offers. Ask a member of the recruitment team if you are unsure.
It is about more than just GCSE results though. At Ada we believe in talent spotting the best potential students for pioneering digital futures. When you apply to Ada you will be invited to an assessment centre event, where you will meet other potential students, staff and industry professionals. The assessment centre will look at your ability to problem solve, think logically and analytically and work with others. You will also have an interview, which will focus on career ambitions and your understanding of the Ada Values (Rigour, Resilience, Curiosity, Collaboration and Creativity).
