Our sixth form teaches students how to become tomorrow's tech pioneers.

Co-Curricular Activities

We want all of our students to have a positive, well-rounded experience studying at Ada, which is why we will take care of your social, emotional and physical wellbeing.

At Ada, we ensure that all our students receive the necessary help and guidance they need to develop as individuals. We believe that supporting your personal growth, alongside your academics, allows you to be the best version of you.

Our doors are open to students from all walks of life, with differing circumstances and situations. As such, we endeavour to create a dynamic attitude to guiding each individual student. It works like a roundabout. You can come from any angle or direction and it’s our job to direct you to the right exit. We’ll do everything we can to advise and support you, which at times may mean working with others outside of the college, to provide you with the expertise you need.

There are four streams of care that we provide at the College. The easiest way to remember them is Policies, People, Programmes and Peers (PPPP).

You can interact and raise concerns with a number of staff members with extensive experience. Our system works on an open door policy: you can approach whoever you think is most suitable to help you with the issue you are facing. Generally, students begin with contacting the Pastoral Care Officer, but this ranges across teachers and up to the Principal (who is also the Safeguarding Lead).

Industry mentors are offered to students from the first year you join the college. We are proud that our industry partners are keen to invest in your growth by offering members of staff to be coaches. They provide an invaluable avenue of external support to ensure students can share their thoughts and ideas freely in a one-to-one environment.

Another key aspect of our programme is our weekly time dedicated to clubs. Every student takes part in an extra-curricular activity, whether it be basketball, kayaking, climbing or ethical hacking clubs. Interested in starting something new at the college? All you need to do is have a few other interested peers and we will make your wish a reality!

Each year a number of students are elected to represent their peers on a student board. If you are elected, you will meet with the Dean and the Pastoral Care Officer regularly to consider the climate of the college and give students a definitive voice. It's your college, so you can strive for the developments that you would like to achieve.

We encourage parents to be actively involved in their child’s learning: get in touch to find out more. With students, parents, and Ada working together, we can provide the best experience for all of Ada's students.

Our prevailing commitment is to the safety of students and all members of the Ada community. It's the first thing we cover during staff inductions and a primary focus throughout the college. This is underpinned by a number of policies — including safeguarding — which shape our approach to students' wellbeing.
