The day was packed full of interactive learning, professional networking, and hands-on events. While there was a lot to take in, our learners helped us pick out a few standout moments from the trip…
Vikki Leach (King’s DE&I Lead and Ada BLC member) kicked off the day by introducing the students to King’s vibrant company culture. The central theme of her session was that there is no single, fixed path into an EA career. This concept was brought to life by current professionals at King, who shared the diverse and surprising backgrounds that led them to their current roles.
Later in the day, students engaged directly with King’s EAs during professional networking sessions. By breaking out into small, focused groups, learners had the chance to ask candid questions about the realities of the day-to-day role and better understand the diverse responsibilities involved in keeping a global tech company running smoothly.
To help demystify the corporate environment, students were treated to a full tour of the King offices. The space is a testament to their highly creative culture, featuring a fully-equipped gym, a music room, gaming stations, a beautiful outdoor terrace, and life-size replicas of beloved game characters dotted around the building!
To cap it all off, students were put to the test in an engaging group challenge. They were required to step into the shoes of an Executive Assistant by solving complex scheduling conflicts and prioritising critical tasks in a simulated high-pressure scenario.
A huge thank you to our partners at King for hosting us and inspiring the next generation of talent.
