Nothing beats seeing our students take charge of their own industry!
We recently had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the team from the Raspberry Pi Foundation to our London campus.
As a college dedicated to digital skills, we know there’s often a bridge to build between the GCSE Computer Science curriculum and the rigorous, industry-focused world of our T Levels and BTECs. Because our Year 12s are currently crossing that very bridge, they were the perfect experts to sit down and discuss what worked, what didn’t, and what needs to change.
Their message was crystal clear. The earlier we introduce cybersecurity, AI ethics, and cloud infrastructure, the better. It was such a proud moment to see our students articulate their views with so much clarity and passion!
Our students then stepped into an intense, immersive simulation, where they were tasked by the Deloitte team with tackling a mock cyber attack on a green energy company. It was a brilliant way for them to learn the fundamentals of decision-making during an organisational crisis, taking concepts and applying them under real-world pressure.
Of course, technical know-how is only half the journey, which is why our Year 12 students also took part in another round of mock interviews as part of the Ada Skills Curriculum. They were interviewed by volunteers from our various industry partners.
We’re so proud of everything our students have achieved this week, and we hope to see our industry partners back at Ada very soon!
