On Tuesday, we opened our doors to prospective students and their families for the Ada Open Morning. The focus was on our T Level in Digital Software Development, a qualification designed to give young people a head start in the tech world.
Kate from Equal Experts led an inspiring session about her own 10 year career in software, the impact of software on our daily lives and the different types of roles available in the industry. Her talk demystified the industry, showcasing the vast array of roles available and proving that there is a place for every kind of thinker in tech!
Then on Wednesday we had 25 students attend our campus for a Hackathon! It was a brilliant day full of brainstorming, team-bonding, and building and designing prototypes. The teams worked excellently together on their designs, fuelled fueled (naturally) by a mid-day pizza delivery.
Seeing the prototypes come to life in just a few hours reminded us why the Manchester tech scene has such a bright future!
Missed out on the action this week?
Don’t worry, the doors are swinging open again very soon. Whether you’re a student looking to kickstart your career or a parent wanting to understand the digital landscape, we’d love to meet you.
Mark your calendars for the 12th May, tickets can be reserved here, and in the meantime, check out our T Level provision here!
