If you’ve ever wondered what a tech career could look like, this was the perfect introduction! Our guest speakers from Jacobs, an American international technical professional services firm, led the students through their own tech journeys on day 1. But the digital careers bootcamp didn’t stop there…
The students also took part in a practical, skill-building CV workshop and learned networking tips from Ada staff members, before practicing these skills with current Ada apprentices. (A big thank you to our apprentices for giving up your time!)
On Day 2, thanks to our industry partner Deloitte, our students had the opportunity to visit their Manchester office to get a real taste of corporate tech culture. They explored industry opportunities and got to see tech in action at a global firm. After all, there’s only so much you can learn in a classroom. Sometimes, to get a true understanding of tech careers, you need to venture outside of it!

Day 3 was back at Ada for a lively debate on remote working and tech skills. We also gave an overview of our T Level courses, ran hands-on lessons in Cyber Security and Coding, and finished with everyone’s favourite: a pizza lunch! 😉
We celebrated the students’ course completion with certificates that they can now proudly add to their CVs.
