About

Ada London Victoria

Overview

At Ada, the National College for Digital Skills, we’ve been growing our Sixth Form College and Degree Apprenticeship programmes since we opened in 2016. We’ve now outgrown our temporary buildings, and we are excited to be moving to our much larger permanent home: 1, Sutherland Street, Pimlico. We look forward to welcoming learners from early Autumn 2023.  Our new location, just 8 minutes walk from Victoria Station, enables us to be closer to our tech industry partners and to have a wider geographical reach for future learners.

Facilities

Our new premises are purposely designed to deliver a cutting-edge digital education in a vibrant and inclusive environment for learning. Spread over six floors, we’ll have room to bring our Sixth Form College and Degree Apprenticeship programmes together under one roof with shared facilities including a cafe, sports hall, gym, contemplation room and a roof terrace with stunning views over London.

The spaces within our new building have been specifically designed with our digital curriculum in mind, with 27 classrooms and two lecture theatres for teaching, large spaces for project-based learning and plenty of breakout spaces for collaborative group work and quiet individual study. We are proud that our new building will reflect our ethos of being tech industry-led and will support our mission to educate and empower the next generation of diverse digital talent as we continue to grow in the coming years.

Sixth Form College Admissions

Ada, the National College for Digital Skills offers students (16 to 19) the opportunity to learn relevant digital skills to pursue their dream job in tech. We are a unique community which puts computer programming at the heart of everything we do. Our students are the future game changers: challenging the norm, excited by change, and resilient in the face of adversity.

We look to offer places to young pupils who have a great desire to learn about the digital industry, combined with a desire to be the best that they can be.

We want to remove the glass ceiling for women and individuals from low-income backgrounds in the tech industry. Everyone, from any background, is entitled to a quality education and a better future. Our community is united by digital, so we work closely with Haringey Council and the local community to ensure the inclusion extends beyond the walls of Ada.

The move to Ada London Victoria will mean that our current Year 12 students will continue their final year in the new building and any students joining Ada in September 2023 will start their journey with us in the new building.

If you would like to know more, or have a specific question please do not hesitate to get in touch with our Admissions department.

FAQs

Where is the new site?

From September 2023, Ada will be moving to 1, Sutherland St, Pimlico, London SW1V 4LD.

The closest London Underground stations are:

Pimlico (Victoria Line)

Victoria (Victoria Line)

Sloane Square (District and Circle Lines)

Why are you moving now?

For the first four years, Ada has been based in Tottenham, but we have outgrown our current buildings and, with no prospect of extending the space, we have had to find a new home.

Excitingly, this means that we will be able to offer even more places, helping more young people with an interest in technology take their first step towards a career in tech.

How will this affect students starting in September 2022?

Year 12 students starting in September 2022, will have one year in Tottenham before completing their second year of study in Victoria in the new building.

Will this affect the courses offered by Ada?

No, all courses offered at Ada in September 2022, will go ahead as advertised.

How will the move be managed?

Minimising disruption to your education is our priority. Prior to the move, we will host open days in the new building and provide induction seminars for students.

What support will be given to students moving?

We understand that this move may mean that you will have to change your plans. To help you we will offer a bursary scheme to cover your transport to the new site, this scheme will be explained to you in the coming months.
