As the world rapidly moves towards communicating digitally every second of every day, original and unique graphic design has become more important than ever before. We see this in intuitive websites, newsletter emails and even online adverts - all screaming for our attention. Our hands-on programme encourages creatives to explore new ideas through research and project-based work.
You will create an extended collection of work showcasing your design skills. You will be introduced to a variety of ideas, materials, and creative techniques from previous decades to the modern day. You will learn to absorb influences from a variety of sources — wherever you see the inspiration — and use them to create a personal and meaningful response to a brief. We’re not looking for the ready-made product! We are more interested in the journey you’ll take from inception to solution. Transform your creative flair into transferable digital skills.
To begin this course, students must have achieved at least 5 GCSE qualifications, with an average grade of a 5 or above. This must include a grade 4 or above in English Language and Mathematics. Ideally, you will also have studied Art or Graphics GCSE.
