Our Learner Services
Ada prides itself on fostering an inclusive environment where every learner is empowered to achieve success. Learner Services acts as your central hub, providing dedicated support and guidance throughout your entire journey from application to graduation.
Student Voice
Student Voice serves as a platform to enable students to actively contribute their ideas, articulate their interests, and voice their concerns directly to teaching staff and the Senior Leadership Team. This extends to leading college wide initiatives which include fundraising, organising social events, engaging in community outreach and advocating for campus improvements.
We firmly believe in building strong, positive relationships with our students from the outset. By working proactively with our Student Voice team, we ensure your insights are not just heard, but integrated into the continuous improvement of our college environment.
Our Student voice body for 2025-2026 is:
- Onur Arslan – President
- Georgi Georgiev – Vice president
- Iulian Mihai – Spokesperson
- Ayisat Oladimeji – Careers Link
- Daniel Feldman – Diversity & Inclusion lead
- Abisag Soloman – Student liaison
- Joy Tenabe – Event planner
- Malachi Boateng – Content Creator
- Sarai Dwyer – Graphics Designer
Pastoral Programme
Our pastoral support is dedicated to nurturing a supportive and inclusive environment for all learners. This helps build confidence, fosters positive relationships, and ensures every student feels safe and valued, allowing them to focus on achieving their full potential.
Team time
Every student has a team lead who is their first point of contact. Team leads have a daily check in called ‘team time’ where we give out key academic information and support on day to day issues. During team time sessions, team leads will facilitate conversations about personal, social, health and economic development. This sets up our students for life as young adults, equipping them with the tools to thrive outside of the academic world.
At the start of every week we hold an assembly to reflect on our values, celebrate successes and invite guest speakers to connect with our students.
Additional needs
We are deeply committed to equity for all students, proactively removing barriers to accessing learning. From the application stage, we collaborate closely with students, families, and local authorities to ensure individual needs are comprehensively met through our tailored provision. Throughout their journey at Ada, students receive dedicated support from our team of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), encompassing both curriculum access and vital personal and professional mentoring. Learners with additional needs will work with our LSA’s to develop Learner Passports, which detail their needs and preferences so staff know how to adapt their delivery, track progress, refine assessments and develop resources for out of classroom support.
Student finance
We are dedicated to nurturing digital talent and ensuring financial barriers do not impede access to education. We recognise that students may need support to cover costs like travel, meals, equipment and various resources. To address this, we administer the government’s 16-19 Bursary and Further Education Free Meals schemes. Applications are processed through a secure portal and will require students to provide evidence and expenditure plans. Students can indicate their requirement for financial assistance during enrolment. For any changes in circumstance during their studies, the learner services team are able to discuss and implement support as appropriate.
