Winter of Coding: Highlights from our GCSE Bootcamp

We’ve wrapped up another three-day GCSE Computer Science Bootcamp at our Manchester Campus!

Events

Here’s a full rundown of how the three days went:

Day 1: The Ultimate Challenge

The energy was high from the start. Students dived into a Coding Masterclass, collaborating to crack our “Ultimate Revision Challenge”, a series of demanding computational puzzles. We balanced the intensity with core revision sessions, ending the day with practical workshops on building high-impact flashcards and mind maps.

Day 2: Connections and Balance

Saturday was all about the “how” and “why” of technology. We explored the complexities of Networks and Networking, while also discussing the science of learning, specifically why restorative rest is just as important as active revision for long-term memory.

Day 3: Hands-On Tech

We saved some of the best for last! Dean from CoderDojo led an expert session on Python programming, and Boj from Ada gave students a “under the hood” look at hardware, dismantling computers and laptops to show the internal components in action.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, come join us next time for our February Bootcamp!
