Ada goes global

We’re taking the “National” in our name to an international scale! This week, we were visited by a delegation of educators from Linköping Municipality whilst our year 12 pioneers took on the corporate world with a day at Corten Capital’s London HQ.

On Tuesday, Ada welcomed an education delegation from  Linköping Municipality, Sweden, the first Swedish city to win the iCapital (European Capital of Innovation) award and Sweden’s number one high-tech city. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase how we bridge the gap between education and industry through our unique curriculum and pathways.

Our students led the way with live demonstrations and talks, with our international guests and in return, we gained a fascinating glimpse into the Swedish education system, and, of course, enjoyed some Swedish treats!

We truly value this opportunity and opportunities like this to collaborate with fellow educators from around the world!

Our Year 12 Further Maths students then swapped the classroom for the boardroom later on in the same week during a workplace visit at Corten Capital.

After a deep dive into Corten’s investment strategies, students tackled a hands-on investment challenge. They put their mathematical skills to work in a real-world context, calculating EBITDA and CAGR for two different companies to build data-driven investment cases. Our students left with full notebooks, sharpened analytical skills, and even bigger ambitions for their future careers in tech and finance.
